As a Purchaser, you will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing goods and services on behalf of the organisation. This includes evaluating suppliers, maintaining relationships, approving products, and ensuring the cost-effective procurement of materials, parts, or goods. You will also play a crucial role in optimising the supply chain, negotiating contracts, and mitigating risks.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, cost, reliability, and risk.
Negotiate contracts with suppliers, ensuring favourable terms and conditions.
Manage supplier relationships to foster collaboration and innovation.
Process purchase requisitions and generate purchase orders.
Track orders, monitor deliveries, and resolve any discrepancies.
Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation.
Track KPIs related to cost savings, on-time delivery, and supplier performance.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimisation.
Collaborate effectively with other departments to understand their needs and provide procurement support.
Build strong relationships with suppliers to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Essential skills and experience:
1 years of experience within a purchasing role
A keen eye for detail and accuracy.
A strong team player.
Strong problem-solving abilities.
Mandarin or Cantonese speaking (preferred)
