In January 2025, Mr. Shiu Ka-chun left his beloved Hong Kong and her people forever. A true "Son of Hong Kong," he was steadfast in his beliefs, caring for the welfare of marginalised communities and youth, fighting for social reform, and promoting democratic development. He was forever committed to building a fair, just, and vibrant Hong Kong. After imprisonment as a result of the Occupy Central Movement, he continued to support and advocate for the rights of inmates in Hong Kong. His whole life is a testament of his deep passion and compassion for people’s life, practicing and demonstrating a profound love for Hong Kong, his home.
This exhibition is not only a remembrance and tribute to Mr. Shiu but also an opportunity for all of us to experience the changes in Hong Kong and their profound impact on him and on us.
